IMAGINATION PRODUCTIONS

Imagination Productions, founded in 1999 by Morag Thorpe, is a theatre company which produces high quality original shows for a family audience. It has toured to theatres, arts venues and schools in almost every part of the UK and appeared at the Pleasance and C Venues at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for four consecutive years.

All shows are written by Morag Thorpe and contain a strong storyline, songs, audience participation and characters that appeal to family audiences. Most shows are suitable for children from three years’ old.

Past theatre shows which have proved a great success with theatre audiences include ‘Millennium Bug’, ‘Spud Pirate and the Pot of Gold’, Spud Pirate and the Very Hungry Crocodile’, ‘Roborat to the Rescue’ and ‘The Tale of Treasure Island’.

Bruno Bear and Willy Worm are two puppets that have become great favourites with their audiences. Both have appeared in nearly all theatre and studio shows produced by Imagination Productions. In 2001 Gaynor Allen from the Edinburgh Evening News reviewed ‘Teddy Bear Teddy Bear Come to Tea’ playing at The Pleasance, Edinburgh Fringe, and wrote ‘Sadly, the talents of Willy Worm are criminally under-used. Give the worm his own show next year’.

Bruno Bear appeared in two different tv series for Sound TV – ‘Animal Alphabet’ and ‘Bruno Bear’s Bear Cheek’ which was written specially for the puppet. He was also the ‘continuity bear’ and announcer for other shows on the channel. Although Bruno Bear enjoyed filming and appearing on tv, if pressed he admits he prefers the vibrancy of live performance.
